Originally named En Route Movement, our studio was founded in 2007 by Jenn Marie Maynard-Earle. Wanting to carve out a studio that is true to the intentions of Joseph Pilates repertoire, and the expansiveness of the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods, Jenn Marie created a truly unique studio that provides a most genuine movement experience. Welcoming, inviting, honest, humble and truthful were the inspiring qualities for her as she kept the studio alive and thriving for 7 years. But as life often changes, in 2014 Jenn Marie decided that it was time for her to leave Salt Lake City. It was then that Jenn Marie passed the torch to Bre.

Breanna Dumke Helfrich, known as Bre, shares the same love for Pilates and the GYROTONIC® method that Jenn Marie cultivated at En Route Movement. Having survived a mountaineering accident in 2010, it was Pilates that took her rehabilitation beyond her expectations. Upon graduation with her M.S. in Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, she moved to Denver to further study Pilates. Bre completed her comprehensive Pilates training through Balanced Body in 2011 and has since taught Pilates at several studios in Colorado, South Dakota and now Utah.  Forever a movement nerd, Bre decided to take her teaching knowledge further in 2013 and began her training in the GYROTONIC® expansion method. She is now a Certified Level 1 & 2 GYROTONIC® Instructor and is also trained to teach on all accessory equipment; the Archway, Gyrotoner, Jumping-Stretching Board, and Leg Extension Unit. Additionally, she is currently a GYROKINESIS® apprentice teacher. Forever grateful to those who have helped her along her teaching and healing journey, her teaching is infused with a deep sense of patience, curiosity, and joy.

While it has been an honor to continue En Route Movement, we are excited to announce our new name: Movement Design Lab. We hope that you will love moving, learning and exploring with us how your body is truly designed to move.
